Andy Hargreaves
Andy Hargreaves is a speaker, author, adviser, and researcher. He is Director of the CHENINE Collaboratory on Change, Engagement and Innovation at the University of Ottawa. He holds a Research Professorship at Boston College, a Distinguished Visiting Professorship at Hong Kong University, and an Honorary Professorship at Swansea University.
His most recent book is Five Paths of Student Engagement with Dennis Shirley (June 2021). His memoir, Moving: a memoir of education and social mobility, with a Foreword by Nicola Sturgeon, First Minister of Scotland, is also published by Solution Tree, 2020. Collaborative Professionalism with Michael O'Connor is published by Corwin, 2018. Well-being in Schools, with Dennis Shirley, will be published by ASCD in December, 2021.
He is Past President of the International Congress of School Effectiveness and Improvement, 2018-2020; co-founder & President of the ARC education project: a group of nations committed to broadly defined excellence, equity, well-being, inclusion, democracy and human rights in education. He also served as an Adviser in Education to the Premier of Ontario and now to the First Minister of Scotland.
