Carrie R. Leana
Carrie R. Leana is George H. Love Professor of Organizations and Management, Professor of Business Administration, Medicine, and Public and International Affairs, and Director of the Center for Health and Care Work at the University of Pittsburgh.
Leana’s research is the areas of organizational behavior and management. She has published more than 100 articles on such topics as authority structures at work, employment relations, and the process and effects of organizational change. Her article Social Capital and Organizational Performance received the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation’s 2007 Best Paper Prize in Industry Studies. Leana was also named the 2007-08 winner of the Aspen Institute’s Faculty Pioneer Award for Academic Leadership, awarded for generating cutting-edge scholarship with a focus on social impact.
